A New Year, A New CCA
Since being appointed Executive Director by the Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) Board of Directors, and taking office September 4th, Eric C. Peterson has been making many positive changes, including moving the office to McLean, Virginia (a suburb or Washington, D.C.), hiring staff, making frequent visits to Congressional offices and members of the FCC and beginning his promised visits to CCA members all across America. CCA Executive Director Begins Field Visits in Hays, Kansas
On the map it may seem a long distance, but in reality, it’s a short plane ride and an uncongested drive down interstate 70 to get from Washington, D.C. to Hays, Kansas, headquarters to NEX-TECH Wireless, a leading company among CCA’s Carrier Members. CCA has a new, higher visibility in Washington, and the Association’s new Executive Director, Eric Peterson, is making certain that members of Congress and the Commissioners at the Federal Communications Commission are increasingly aware of the issues facing wireless carriers in rural America. Peterson, along with CCA advocates David Nace, Art Prest, Carol McDaid and Gwen O’Brien have visited more than a dozen Congressional offices and virtually all FCC Commissioners’ offices.
