Membership Directory Update CCA’s 2008—2009 Annual Membership Directory is now in the planning stages. This collaborative effort between CCA Staff and the publishing company, Naylor LLC, it the perfect opportunity for Associate Members to advertise in a publication that will be used regularly by all CCA members for an entire year! CCA Adopts New Business Plan CCA Executive Director Eric Peterson recently prepared and presented to the Board of Directors a new Business Plan for the Association. Designed to carry out the CCA Mission Statement, Vision and Goals, the plan, adopted by the Board, offers initiatives to improve the four key objectives of the Association: Advocacy, Facilitation, Education and Communication. The E9-1-1 Institute Board of Directors has recently elected Art Prest as the chairman. Mr. Prest has been a member of the Board since 2003, representing small telecommunications companies and has previously served as chairman of the Institute’s Rural Wireless Issues Committee. He currently serves as CCA’s Technical Consultant. More Details
While Congress was away for the holidays, CCA took time to review its strategy for Capitol Hill and to set some priorities for the coming year. Chief among the CCA legislative priorities for 2008 will be to redress with Congress the impact of Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Chairman Kevin Martin’s just released notice of proposed rule making (NPRM) on the Universal Service Fund (USF).
