RCA Elects New Board of Directors
Las Vegas, NV – Today, the Rural Cellular Association elected its new Board of Directors for the 2010/2011 term. The Board of Directors manages the overall business and affairs of the Association to ensure RCA’s position as the premier advocacy organization for rural and regional carriers.
The 2010/2011 Board of Directors includes:
Ron Smith, Chairman of the Board – With more than 20 years experience in the wireless industry, Ron Smith is President of Bluegrass Cellular, Inc, a wireless service provider serving central Kentucky.
Craig Sheetz, Vice Chairman of the Board – Craig Sheetz is the CEO of Cellular One of East Texas, the only wireless carrier based in and dedicated exclusively to serving communities in East Texas.
Hu Meena, Secretary/Treasurer – Hu Meena is President of Cellular South, one of the largest privately owned wireless providers in the nation.
Slayton Stewart, Immediate Past Chairman of the Board – Slayton Stewart is CEO of Carolina West Wireless, In, a North Carolina company, and brings over 10 years of executive management experience in the wireless industry.
Johnie Johnson – Johnie Johnson is CEO/General Manager of Nex-Tech Wireless, LLC., a premiere wireless provider offering high-tech wireless solutions to residents in 33 counties of central and western Kansas.
Dan Rule – Dan Rule is General Manager of Golden State Cellular, cellular experts located in central California.
Roger Bundridge – Roger Bundridge is the General Manager of Northwest Missouri Cellular and is a returning Board Member of RCA.
Bob Dawson – Serving as President and CEO of SouthernLINC Wireless and Southern Telecom, both wholly owned subsidiaries of Southern Company. Bob Dawson is a leader in creating value for Southern Company stockholders.
Patrick Riordan – Being involved with the company across four decades, Pat Riordan serves as president and CEO of New Cell, Inc. dba Cellcom and oversees its day-to-day operations.
Laura Phipps Angell – Laura Phipps Angell is General Manager of Leaco Rural Telephone Cooperative, Inc.
Steve Campbell – Steve Campbell is Executive Vice President, Finance,
Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of US Cellular and is responsible for overseeing U.S. Cellular’s financial interests, including reporting to shareholders and investors.
Dallas Clement – Dallas Clement is Senior Vice President of Strategy and Development for Cox Communications, Inc. Clement provides overall product leadership for Cox’s video, voice, high-speed Internet and wireless products and services.
Jim Hyde – Jim Hyde serves as President & CEO of nTelos Wireless, Inc.
Michael Prior – Michael Prior is CEO of Atlantic Tele-Network, parent company of Sovernet Inc. since January 2006. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Atlantic Tele-Network from 2003-2006.
Ron Whaley – Ron Whaley is Chief Revenue Officer of OSG Billing Services, a leading bill and distribution provider serving the telecom industry. Ron has served as the sole Associate Member on the Board for the past 3 years and will be joined by five new Associate Members this year, as RCA has increased the number of Associate Member positions on the Board of Directors.
Matt Ungerleider – Matt Ungerleider is Area Vice President, Strategic Accounts at Alcatel-Lucent. He is responsible for leading the Strategic Accounts sales team toward selling network solutions to rural and regional wireless carriers.
Craig Stein – Craig Stein is Executive Vice President and General Manager of US Regions for Ericsson, Inc. He brings more than 22 years of industry experience to the table with a focus in the service provider sector for wireless companies.
Damian Sazama – Damian Sazama is Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for Interop Technologies. He is responsible for directing and managing the company’s marketing and PR strategies, which includes serving as the key contact for industry media and analysts.
David Peters – David Peters is Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Velleros, Inc. Velleros has been affiliated with RCA for 13 years, and he has been an active participant in the Association, serving on Committees and attending RCA Lobby Days.
Jerry Easom – Jerry Easom is Vice President of Industry Relations at Syniverse Technologies. He works with a number of associations on public policy, legislation and regulatory issues.
Steven K. Berry – Steven Berry is President & CEO of the Rural Cellular Association.
