CCA Presents Representatives Walden and Eshoo with the Congressional Leadership Award
Washington, DC – Today, CCA – The Competitive Carriers Association presented Representatives Greg Walden (R-OR) and Anna Eshoo (D-CA) with CCA’s Congressional Leadership Award in recognition of their leadership on issues impacting competitive carriers. CCA presented the awards as a token of CCA’s appreciation for their foresight and resolve in working to restore a competitive wireless industry.
“We are honored to present Representatives Walden and Eshoo with CCA’s Congressional Leadership Award,” said Steven K. Berry, CCA President & CEO. “Their leadership and support in making spectrum available for wireless carriers though incentive auctions is greatly appreciated by our members. Additionally, their work to preserve the FCC’s safeguards concerning spectrum aggregation will help ensure competitive carriers’ ability to participate at spectrum auctions, which will benefit consumers and help increase revenues to the U.S. Treasury.”
“Representatives Eshoo and Walden have shown tremendous leadership in their work to ensure a competitive wireless marketplace. They recognize the importance of competition and the significant impact competition has on consumers and the economy. I am delighted we are able to recognize their good work, and I look forward to our continued work to restore competition to the wireless industry.”
